Where this came from
Euro Plant Finder is a buyer-side agent sourcing used construction and agricultural machinery from the UK and Europe for overseas buyers. Joint founder Rob McNinch, based in Congleton, Cheshire, handles every market outside Finland; joint founder Juha Sade looks after Finnish buyers from Finland.
The business started in the early 2000s with Jukka Tamminen, Rob's uncle — a Finn living in England. Friends back in Finland kept asking the same favour: they'd found a tractor for sale in England, would he go and look at it before they sent their money? Enough people asked that it turned into a business.
Tamminen and Rob McNinch.
Years later Rob McNinch joined, and by that time so had Juha Sade in Finland, who dealt with the customers in their own language while Rob and Jukka found the machines in Britain and Europe.
Rob suggested the Euro Plant Finder brand, which stuck and remains the trading name to this day. He then spent twelve years as a Group Sales Director in road transport and logistics — moving plant and agricultural machinery across the UK, Europe and deep-sea routes — before coming back to Euro Plant Finder in 2026.
Jukka had retired by then, but Finland is still a joint business with Juha, who looks after the customers there. Outside Finland, it's Rob you'll be dealing with, working from the UK.
The idea was always simple, and it hasn't changed since Jukka was doing favours for friends. Overseas buyers were either overpaying through dealers with stock to move, or walking away from deals they should have done because the process felt too complicated. We know dealers and sellers across the market, but none of them pays us. We hold no stock and take no seller commission. Our commercial relationship is with you.

One experienced person, commercially on your side.
Euro Plant Finder is an independent buying-agent service for people buying used construction and agricultural machinery from the UK and Europe. We do not own machinery we need to sell, and we do not take seller commission. We work for the buyer.
Buying machinery from abroad has two halves, and most people only know one. There's finding the right machine and negotiating a fair price — and then there's the part that actually trips people up: getting it exported, documented, shipped, and through biosecurity to the other side of the world. Rob has spent his career around both.
The service is founder-led and buyer-side. Rob uses established supplier relationships and searches the wider market for each requirement, then coordinates the appropriate specialists needed to complete the transaction.
Four things that never change.
We work for you, not the seller.
Our fee and the transaction structure are clear.
The process flexes around what the individual machine and buyer actually need.
Rob stays responsible for keeping the buyer-side transaction moving.
“On the buyer’s side — never the seller’s.”
No inventory to clear. No seller commission. No financial reason to favour one seller.
