How we research our guides

Our country and machine guides are for buyers bringing used construction and agricultural machinery from the UK and Europe into their own country. They are general guidance, not a quote or legal advice.

Where the facts come from

Every rule, rate and requirement comes from that country's official source — its customs authority, tax office, standards body or plant-health service — and carries the date it was checked. Where an official source is unclear, out of date or contradicts another, we say so and tell you who to ask, rather than guessing.

How we check

Each guide is researched against a country file built from those official sources, then checked line by line by a separate checking step before it is published. We use AI tools to help research, draft and check, and every fact must trace back to an official source. Each guide shows when its facts were last checked.

What we won't do

We don't publish prices, landed-cost estimates or fee figures in our guides, because they depend on the machine, the route and the date. We don't use client stories. Your own customs broker or clearing agent handles import clearance in your country; we handle the sourcing and the export side.

Spotted something out of date?

Tell us, and we'll check it against the official source and update the guide.
